Medistabyl Forte Phosphatidylcholine is a glycerophospholipid that plays a role in the metabolism of many body fats. It plays an active role in cellular transport and in the formation of their structure. It is a part of cell membranes in both animals and plants and of components of fatty suspensions like milk.
Medistabyl Forte provides choline, which is needed to preserve the integrity of the cell membrane and facilitate the movement of fat out and into the cell. It has a mobilizing lipotropic action as it increases the fluidity or permeability of the adipocyte membrane, favoring the removal of the fat component.
The fact that it favors permeability is related to the saturation of fatty acids (with increasing saturation, permeability decreases); as such, a polyunsaturated phosphatidylcholine is used. Phosphatidylcholine is an excellent fat burner that can be used as an aid in slimming treatments.
The use of phosphatidylcholine is limited to small deposits of fat localized in patients with ideal weight or slightly overweight.
